Wow! we love this cottage and the area too. (despite the weather!) After 7 days of camping at Aplolo Bay Victoria, we were looking forward to some comfort. Its cosy, stylish, very pretty location and Janes lovely generous touches, especially the warm bread the the wine makes us want to return, but for much longer. Your Sauvignon Blanc was unlike the flowery style I am used to and deserved our attention! We thoroughly enjoyed its freshness and bigger mouthfeel than usual Sauv Blancs. Thankyou again. We will happily recommend your cottage and your area.

Loved to see the birds (honeyeaters cavorting in the birdbath and the parrots) the bees, butterflies and flowers and the trees - the purple hybiscus coming into flower and the NZ Christmas tree. Thankyou for a fabulous house to stay at after my daughter's wedding. It is so beautiful and equipped with all one could ask for. David and Jane, What can we say? you have quite overwhelmed us with your wonderful hospitality! We loved the way you have provided for our every need- in many ways better than we have at home!! so many thoughtful gestures, nearly too numerous to mention:

• food provisions in abundance(right down to the final loaf of your delicious bread)
• All  that we needed to keep warm and snug during a week of very ordinary weather. Even an umbrella for when we returned home.
• Wonderful beds and bedding and room to put allour belongings in the bedrooms.
• Other highlights:
• Board games – we had a great evening just playing Trivial Persuit
• quality soaps – hand wash
• washing up, dish washer and washing machine provisions – even the gloves on the cute little peg
• 2 TV’s - a great luxury, but apprecieated.
• In short – everything was great!

We will tell anyone we meet to stay here next time they come to this area. I have taken some brochures.

Very comfortable beds – plenty of blankets , great to have bedside lights that are ideal for reading. Heater and fire were both excellent and easy to operate. Appliances – everything and more than we needed and in excellent condition. Houskeeping was fantastic! Thanks so much Jane – what an excellent cottage! We loved McLaren Vale and your views – everything is perfect inside and the millepedes didn’t bother us at all!

A real treat – everything was perfect and showed how much thought you have put in! The bread – a lovely touch. Perfect for the dog in the back yard – Great views out the front! Well be back! Let us know if you ever want to sell the paddock next door. Thanks for a top stay!

Beds were perfect , had electric blanket on Sat! Inside temperature was great, Great selection for breakfast, more than enough – frut was a nice touch. Thanks Jane! Thankyou for sharing your beautiful home and surrounding with us. Breakfast was yummy, your bread was delicious! Hope to come again soon.

Thank you so much for a delightful evening on Saturday. Drinks on the deck were great – those views are stunning, and the added bonus of the friendly kangaroo gave it a magical quality! Overseas visitors would be especially moved by such an environment. You should capitalise on the fact that it is bitumen road all the way to real country. Also use the fact that “If you want a stunning view, just go up the hill.” Make it sound easy and obvious. (I know some visitors we encounter are put off by the hill.)   I just love Kenwood Cottage and the way you have kept it consistent and used your design flair to create a charming country house. Using a few choice antiques anchors the whole thing.I love the delicate celadon green in the sitting room. I like your idea of the Book Exchange. Most people who travel are avid readers I think.

Sounds like a perfect morning for tea and cake in such a picturesque setting. Having been a guest at the beautiful Kenwood cottage,it is stunning to wake up to the birds and have breakfast on the deck in serenenity with a breathtaking view. In the evening relax with the warm glow of the sunset and a rich shiraz, courtesy of the local vinyards and produce, then retire to the peaceful rhythm of the countryside.
